Yes, you can absolutely use different designs on the front and back of food label toothpicks; this feature is often called double-sided custom printing. Since these labels are typically made by wrapping a strip of adhesive paper around a toothpick and then gluing the two halves together, we can easily print unique designs on each half of the strip. This provides tremendous functional flexibility; for example, you can display your brand logo on the front while printing practical information such as a QR code, nutrition labels (e.g., “vegan” or “gluten-free”), or promoting social media accounts on the back.
When choosing different designs, be sure to consider technical alignment and paper quality to ensure a professional and aesthetically pleasing final product. Because labels are folded by hand or machine, there will often be some inconsistencies at the folds, so it’s best to avoid placing key text or thin borders near the center ridge or edges. Additionally, choosing slightly thicker or opaque paper can prevent “bleed-through,” ensuring that the ink from the front design doesn’t bleed into the back and smudge the image. We will need two separate high-resolution files, or a template containing both sides, to begin production.
